Article - Talk Macintosh OS X

Category:Moviestorm Walkthrough

Moviestorm’s recommended specifications for the Macintosh:

* OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or 10.5 (Leopard)

* Intel1 Macbook Pro or better; Moviestorm is currently only available for Intel-based Macs.

* A broadband internet connection. Internet connection is required for registration, online services and updates only. Moviestorm can otherwise be used offline.

* The nVidia cg toolkit. Moviestorm will not work on the Macintosh unless you install the free nVidia CG Toolkit.

Moviestorm will work on Mac Minis, but it will not run with the shaders on. Shaders can be turned on and off from the “graphics” setting.

The Macintosh version of Moviestorm uses some Macintosh commands, though the tutorials don’t mention this. So when the “control” key doesn’t do what you expect, try the “command” key.

The easiest way to play .avi files on the Macintosh is to install Perian, a free, open source QuickTime component that adds native support for many popular video formats.
