Playing Video On Props
Put a TV (or other prop which can have a custom (user) image on it) on set. In the Directors view, click on the TV and select ‘Play Video’ . Chose a suitable video with the file browser.
Unfortunatly, a small selection of codecs work; but the default output codec from Moviestorm works on the “Play Video” props.
One codec (at least) found that works is “Cinepak” codec.
Settings:
Video codec: Cinepak; AVI: 640x480; 25 Frames per second; data rate: 1223kps.
The “Play Video” option does not play audio. If you want audio to “appear” to come from the prop displaying the video, you can add the audio in post editing, with an outside editor (such as Sony Vegas).
Warning: Props imported with the “Sketchup Importer” which do display user images, may not properly display videos. “User-Image” Moviestorm props with displays, will.
