Launcher

Description of the Launcher.

When starting up the Moviestorm software, the Launcher is the first thing you see and has much more than just the magic Start button.

1) Start - Start Moviestorm and go to the Main Menu.

2) Update - This button only appears when an update for Moviestorm or a content pack is available. When you install a new official content pack, there is usually an update available for it.

3) Content Packs - This button only appears when you own a license to a content pack that hasn’t been installed yet. When you purchase packs at the Moviestorm store and then start Moviestorm, wait for this button to appear, click it, tick the boxes, and hit Download Now.

4) Hardware Report - This evaluates how Moviestorm will run on your system.

5) Change - Login as a different user. Each user ID must have their own license for each content pack.

Main Menu

Description of the Main Menu.

1) Version Number - The version of Moviestorm installed on your computer.

2) Help - Moviestorm Help files and tutorials.

3) Exit - Quit and close Moviestorm.

 

New Movie

Continue to - New Movie

 

Load Movie

On the Load Movie page, the description to the left practically says it all. The only thing not mentioned is that, to load a movie, you can simply double-click a movie’s thumbnail image.

 

Settings

Description of the Settings Menus.

Add Ons - ???

Graphics - ???

Sound - ???

Key Bindings - A list of generic keyboard functions.

Other - With the default setting of Moviestorm, hitting New Movie will bring up a screen (the Introduction Panel) which gives you the option to create a Quick Movie. If you untick the Always show this message box, this screen will no longer appear. You can re-enable the Introduction Panel in the Other tab of the Settings menu.

Signer - ??? - Apparently, this doesn’t currently function.

Advanced Features - Currently, the only option is to Go to Modder’s Workshop.
